Champions League: An english Story

On the opportunity of the Champions League Final, being held at my country, plus the fact that my favourite team is playing (Liverpool) let's make a little research about the finals that teams from England played from 1998 (because thats the latest finals) till now:

Uefa Cup

-Galatasaray (Turkey) - Arsenal (England) 0-0 (4-1 in penalties) 1999/2000
Untill 1999 no english team had reached the UEFA final.
But THIS was a final. The most outstanding white draw ever! Everyone remembers the amazing Tafarell (GK of Galatasaray) stopping two penalties in the shootout, and in the game stopped Henry, Pires and Bergkamp from scoring. A memorable Final because of its rythm, tense and determination of the players.

-Liverpool (England) - Alaves (Spain) 4-4 (5-4 in Extra Time) 2000/2001
One the best final in football history! Liverpool scored 4-3 until Yordi Cruyff (son of Yogan Cruyff) equilised in the 89th minute! The game went over time where in the 116th(!) minute, McAllister shot a free kick and Geli, the best defender of Alaves untill that minute,scored an own-goal. The Reds started an new era...

-Sevilla (Spain) - Middlesbrough (England) 4-0 2005/2006
Sevilla dominated. End of story. One of the most imressive finals in the UEFA cu history. Tottaly one sided!

Champion's League

-Manchester United (England) - Bayern Munchen (Germany) 2-1 1998/1999
If you had left at the 89th minute of the game, then you had missed the best ending ever. During the game,Bayern dominated over Manchester, but 2 minutes before the final whistle everything changed. Solskier and Sheringham scored twice and Bayern fell to earth, making an ugly sound!

-Liverpool (England) - Milan (Italy) 3-3 (3-2 in penalties) 2005/2006
There is nothing more I can say to this final that you already don't know. Milan started the first half, scored 3 goals, and yet lost the trophy. Liverpool stroke back and the second half, scored 3 goals in 15 minutes, making it the best Final ever. In the penalties the dump moves of Dudek, made the opponents confused, sending two penalties in the sky of Instabul...
